On January,8th of 2000 the cruiserweight title was renamed the Powerhouse Pro Wrestling U.S. Title by Bubba Love after he defeated Psycho Surfer in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

This wrestling federation has come a long way since the beginning. Juicy Johnny, Baby Bull, Iron Maiden, Doug Dillion and Big.D have been here the longest. Six or more plus years and show no signs of quiting soon. Now you have names like Bubba The Love Train, Tiny Love, Stealth Suicide, Judge Jesse, Peter B. Beautiful, Damon Ray, Corp. Hollie and Corp. Blast and lots more who are looking to make history in PHPW. Groups that have come and gone like The KWO and Climb X. Managers like Tommy Roxx and Diamond. Tag teams like The Extreme and Clowns Inc. Wrestlers like Dr. X, Chris Curtis, Trevor Blanchard and IL State Trooper. The years have just gone by so fast, but I'm sure more great things will happen in the year 2000.
We have seen great matches here,the best two that I can remember is the ladder match with Cage and Nature in Marshfield, WI and the ladder match with Judge Jesse and Stealth Suicide in Wisconsin Rapids. Don't forget the sell out crowd in West Bend, WI (standing room only)for Climactic Meltdown when Juicy Johnny defeated Climactic Cage in a strap match. Who will ever forget Koko B. Ware and Juicy Johnny winning the tag team titles from the Ninjas and the beating Sexy Eddie Van Snap took from Koko B. Ware. The 30-min match with Cage and Stealth Suicide in Lebannon, the jump off the balcony by Judge Jesse and the cane shot took by Doug Dillion in Waupaca. Remember Tommy Roxx stealing the heavyweight title with Cage's help from Juicy Johnny in Stevens Point and Tank destroying Pep and Cowboy in a handicap match.
